ZIM TEAM NOT A BAD START..! BATUMI 2018 FIRST THREE ROUNDS…

Zimbabwe Ladies won two games in first three rounds! In pic below Women Section Rnd 1 … Austria vs Zimbabwe on Monday the 24th of September 2018. It was a 4-0 drabbing of a game for the Zim ladies. The hardworking and persistent team of Kudzanayi Charinda, Colletta Wakuruwarewa, Christine Makwena and Paidaishe Zengeni showed character in their following two games. They dismissed the charges of Tunisia in round 2 with Christine and Paidaishe winning on boards 3 and 4 and Kudzanayi securing the much needed draw on board 1 facing WFM Amira Marzouk and our board 2 falling. Amazingly beating them by a narrow margin of 2.5-1.5! They went on to massacre Maldives by 3-1 on Wednesday the 26th of September..What a very good start!

The determined team of IM Rodwell Makoto, Emarald Mushore, Zhemba Jemusse and Spencer Masango went on to hold their own as they drew the tough and stubborn highly rated Mexico who had an average rating of about 2300..it was a truce 2-2 on Wednesday the 26th of September!
