Budiriro 3 Primary Shines At The Mabvuku High School Chess Festival 2015 In The Junior/Primary Section

On Saturday the 11th of July The Mabvuku Chess Festival 2015 Primary Section was won by Budiriro 3 Primary (4.5/5) as Knights Chess Academy Zimbabwe’s team of Grade 1 "toddlers" had 2/5.Budiriro is a powerful junior force thanks to coaches Eddie ‘Batista’ and ‘The Undertaker’ as they are affectionally known by their Budiriro youngsters. Budiriro 4 Primary (4.5/5) came 2nd lower on brd pts. Blackiston Pri. Boys were 3rd on 3.5/5. A total of 13 teams took part in the Primary Section.

In the Snr Section Boys Mabvuku High used home advantage and came 1st as Mufakose 2 and Mabvuku B were 2nd and 3rd respectively. In the Girls Section Mufakose 2 High ,Oriel girls and Queen Elizabeth were on top.There were 30 teams inclusive of the primary and secondary teams. The tournament was well run by F.A Figo and Mr Victor Chimbamu of Mabvuku High. Meanwhile on the 25th of July one Primary and one High School Chess events are geared to take place-The Prince Edward High School Festival team event and The Twin Rivers Primary Individuals.

Kwekwe comes alive on 1 August 2015! As The Willenita School of Chess will run its Grand Chess Fiesta at Kwekwe High School from 8am to 4pm. Its an Individuals Primary Tournament and registration is $10 per player. Contact Enita and Wilfred Sithole on 0774 081 403 or 0712 387 150.
