“The Africa School Individual Chess Championships took place in Gaborone, Botswana at the Oasis Motel from the 21st of August to the 30th of August, 2015. Our team consisted of 10 girls and 22 boys namely:

11. Mawire Tawananyasha U7, 12. Madamombe Tinaye U7, 13. Madaka Tadiwanashe U9, 14. Kaitano Ishmael U9, 15. Maxen Takunda U9, 16. Hore Nigel U9, 17. Chigova Tinashe U9, 18. Agarwal Rit U11, 19. Meanwhile, in the African Schools Individual Chess Championships 2015 U15+U17 Open: Sifiso Ncube U17 of Sizane High Bulawayo was the 3rd best U17 player. He got a bronze medal and is now a Candidate Master (CM). So the U15 & U17 age groups were seperated for prize giving purpose. The second Zimbabwean who got a prize/medal is Harare based Kundai Murinda U15 girl of Dominican Convent who came 2nd in her respective category in the African Schools Individual Chess
Championships 2015 U15+U17 Girls. She is now a Candidate Master as well. Well done!!
